TC (total commander) is a lot of friends like a Super resource management tool, in fact, we can also use TC to quickly create a list of files and management. For example, I want to get all the executable names under the "C:\Windows\SYSTEM32" folder, and follow the steps below:
1th Step: Set Display Type
First, open the C:\Windows\SYSTEM32 folder in the main interface, because our goal is to get all the executable file names, so we need to select "Execute files only" in the "show → file Display" menu, which will list only EXE, BAT, PIF, CMD and other types of executable files.
Edit tip: By default, TC will display all files, but you can also choose "Customize" to display any type of file.
Step 2nd: List all executable files
Because several subfolders are also included under C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32, in order for TC to also list all executables in those subfolders, press the "ctrl+b" key combination so that TC lists all executables under the current folder (including subfolders).
3rd Step: Export File List
Press CTRL + A to select all files, and then from the Select menu, perform the copy file name to Clipboard or copy file full path to clipboard command to copy all the list of executable files under the C:\Windows\SYSTEM32 folder to the Clipboard.
Edit hint: The former only copies the filename, the latter copies the full path of the file at the same time, you can decide which command to use according to the actual situation.
4th Step: Processing
Next, you can paste the list of files you just copied in any editor, and it's not the author's business How to deal with it later.
Edit tip: We can install a plug-in named Catalog to quickly create a list of files, download the address for Http//ghisler. Fileburst. Com/plugins/catalogmaker. Zip that will compress the Catalogmaker in the package. The Wcx file is copied to the \total Commander\plugins\packer folder.
Enter the C:\Windows\System32 folder, select all of its executable files, then click on the toolbar compression icon, pay attention to select the "LST" compression format, click the "Configuration" button, where you can set the format of the generated list file, recommended all selected as good, The resulting list of files is the most complete. In addition, you can also set the way the list of files is sorted, the default is to sort by file name, of course, you can also reset to the extension, size, date and time, and so on, after the setup is complete, return to the main window click "OK" button, you can quickly in the target path to get a LST list file.
Some friends may worry about how to check this LST file, in fact, very simple, directly with Notepad or any text editing tool can open and edit, here I do not say more.
