I. System Disk streamlining

In normal times, many components and services are not required in the system we install, and we cannot use them at ordinary times. Therefore, we can streamline the XP (2000) installation disk, remove useless content. Here I recommend using "nlite", which can be customized for various 2000 and XP installations. The latest version is 1.0 B6. Install Microsoft before installation. Net Framework. After the software is installed, you can select Simplified Chinese. It provides many functions, including "Service Pack integration" and "Patching ".ProgramPackage integration, driver integration, component removal, unattended installation, patch, optimization, and boot image creation, you can choose some or all of the features when customizing your own installation disk. Here I mainly apply its "component removal" and "make bootable image" features. However, according to my test on the virtual machine, the software's "patch package integration" function is invalid. If you want to integrate the latest patch in the installation package, you need other methods. For the removed components, see the configuration file in the attachment.

We can also make this disk into an unattended automatic installation disk. Considering that the "unattended installation" function provided by nlite is not very complete, we can use the "setup manager(setupmgr.exe) provided by Microsoft) "(XP installation disk contains this tool) tool to create an automatic response file-winnt. sif, detailed producer method available on the Internet, will not be written here.

I used to create a fully automatic installation disk. I only need to put it into the optical drive, and the system can be fully automatically installed to fully implement unattended installation. However, in the actual application process, I found some problems. First, I used this disk to format the system partition. When installing the system, I also used the sodium OS, the system disk is formatted. For NTFS-format system partitions, the partition cannot be formatted because it cannot be identified by pure dos. The second is that the partition installed by the system cannot be selected, you cannot delete, convert, or format partitions. In this way, the special features of the installation disk are lost, which makes people feel inconvenient. Then, several parameters in the "winnt. Sif" file are modified. During the installation process, you can select the system partition to delete, convert, and format the partition.

Ii. System Image Creation

After installing a new system, you must set the system accordingly. In this way, the volume of the ghost file can be minimized, and the restored system can also achieve the best performance. The general steps are as follows:

1. After completing all the system patches, you can download the entire patch package from the Internet, or download the patch package by yourself. Then, create a batch file and install it together.

2. Install wmp10 and ,. . NET Framework.

3. install various drivers of the system.

4. Set the homepage to blank.

5. Do not use system restoration (you can remove the "System Restoration" feature from the System Disk streamlining process ).

6. Delete Redundant Input Methods

7. Transfer the "My Documents" directory so that the files in "My Documents" before each ghost do not need to be backed up. After recovery, they can be directly used.

8. Delete the backup patch information. After completing the system patch, the system backs up the patch information under C: windows so that the corresponding patch can be uninstalled later. However, the patch generally does not need to be uninstalled, we can delete this information. Each patch information has a corresponding folder named after the patch. It has a hidden attribute, which is located in the C: Windows directory. After deletion, the C disk has more than 100 m.

9. Finally, sort out the system disk.

After this setting, the system basically achieves the best performance and can make ghost files.

After installing the system, I usually make two images. After installing the system for the first time, I will perform ghost (first of all, I need to sort out the hard disk) to keep a original system; then, follow the settings above, install the office, and then perform the image again. The advantage of two images is that when the drivers installed in the second image are old and new system patches are too many, it is troublesome to install new drivers and patches after the system is restored, in this way, we can restore to the first image, install new drivers, patches, and perform optimization settings, and then create a new image to replace the original second image without reinstalling the system, it is much more convenient. I generally do not consider installing common software before ghost (except for office, because there is basically no need to update), mainly because these software are updated very quickly. If you usually need to use large software, you can also install the second image file to avoid wasting time and effort.
