This is generally because you have installed Windows Live writer, Windows Live Mail, or Windows Live Messenger in other languages (even if you have uninstalled the previous version ).

Tell me how to solve the problem:

1. Create a folder named "Log Files" on the desktop.
2. Copy three log files to the folder you just created.

   File Location of Windows XP (SP2) Users:

   • C:/Documents and Settings/all users/Application Data/windowsliveinstaller/logs
   • C:/Documents and Settings/all users/Application Data/windowsliveinstaller/msilogs
   • C:/Documents and Settings/all users/Application Data/wlinstaller

     File Location of Windows Vista users:

   • C:/programdata/windowsliveinstaller/logs
   • C:/programdata/windowsliveinstaller/msilogs
   • C:/programdata/wlinstaller
3. Download: Windows Live Betas uninstall Tool
4. Download the wl-beta-remove.zip file and decompress it to obtain the WL-Beta-Remove.cmd.
5. Double-click Run WL-Beta-Remove.cmd and reinstall Windows Live Betas.

Symptom 2: suspension during running

For some users, after double-clicking the Windows Live writer beta2 program, the program does not respond. The task manager displays that the CPU usage of a svchost.exe process reaches nearly 100%.

This is because when Windows Live writer beta2 is started, Windows Live setup service automatically checks for updates, but in some cases, checking for updates causes the above symptoms

1. Win + R hotkey
2. Enter "cmd" and press Enter.
3. In the command prompt line window, enter the following command:
   • Net stop "Windows Live setup service"
   • Enter
   • SC config "Windows Live setup service" Start = disabled
   • Enter
4. Close all running programs
5. Restart your machine
6. Run Windows Live writer beta again

Symptom 3:If the following prompt appears during installation:

"Windows Live installation cannot be completed.
Make sure that the computer is not running in safe mode and Windows Installer 3.1 or later is installed, and then try again. To get the latest version of Windows Installer, visit the Windows Update Website and install all key updates ."
