Recently, we encountered several Windows Mail (4.5, 0626) errors in dashboard.
Symptoms:
I 've been using it all the time. suddenly one day, I cannot use it normally. A bunch of errors appear in application logs. The first error is error information: Get Admin Server SETUP info failure. Basically, all services of winmail cannot work normally. When you try to open the management interface, it cannot be opened normally. An attempt to stop the email service and restart it will fail.
Troubleshooting:
At first, I thought it was just a simple program crash. Therefore, the system reinstalls and imports the original settings. However, unfortunately, it was found that the system crashed again in a few days (two to three days. The same errors and prompts. So we re-installed it, and the symptoms remained.
In view of this recurring situation, we further analyzed the problem through a simple analysis of the backup package. The problem mainly occurs in the domain. cfg, Service. cfg, and userauth. cfg files. Normally, the page content should be XML, but after the problem occurs, it all becomes garbled. After each problem occurs, restore the three files to restore winmail to normal.
Solution:
Currently, the temporary solution is to write a simple small program. Read the preceding three files and use the backup file to restore them if XML is not used.
We are further observing this problem. I hope to find a solution once and for all (of course, the simplest way is to buy the Z version ^_^)
Summary:
From the backup file, we can see that there are only four files updated by winmail every day, three of which are the three above. The last one is license. cfg. Therefore, I personally think it is very likely that winmail has placed a logic bomb on the program, forcing the program to fail to work after a certain amount of time.
