The DNS server is the domain Name System or domain Name service, which assigns domain names and IP addresses to hosts on the Internet. When the user uses the domain name address, the system automatically turns the domain address into an IP address. The Domain Name service is an Internet tool that runs the domain Name System. The server that executes the domain name service is called a DNS server that answers queries for the domain Name service through the DNS server.
Server systems: Windows Server 2016
Client systems: Windows 10
IP configuration: server: 192.168.4.44
Client: 192.168.4.10

1. Install the DNS service on the server
Click "Start"-"Server Manager"





Wait a few minutes for the installation to complete

2. New Forward lookup zone

In DNS Manager, select Forward lookup zone, right-select new forward lookup zone

Create a new zone named "com"



New host Domain name


Verify that the DNS for the client is the IP of the server

In the client open CMD, update the DNS resolution cache "Ipconfig-flushdns".
Ping abc.com

At this time the domain name "abc.com" corresponds to the IP address "192.168.4.44"
