(1) ADSL Internet connection skills: hardware assurance ICS

First, we must establish physical connections to computers (taking desktops and laptops as examples). For average home users, it is easier to build an equivalent network, that is, to allow computers to communicate with each other directly, in this way, you can achieve resource sharing without a dedicated server. ICS can implement one of the services.

To put it simply, you need to prepare NICs, cat5e twisted pair wires, and crystal headers. When creating network cable connectors, please pay attention to the problem of direction and line arrangement. If you do not know, ask the technical staff of the computer company to help you prepare the network cable, which can avoid a lot of trouble.

(2) ADSL Internet connection skills

Nic should be installed on each computer, and two NICs should be installed on the computer as the ICS host (preferably the desktop as the host), one of which is connected to the broadband network, the other one is connected to the laptop through a network cable, and the driver of the network card is installed separately. WindowsXP can automatically identify the vast majority of network cards.

In addition, you need to add TCP/IP, NWLinkIPX, SPX, NetBIOSCompatibleTransport, NWLinkNetBIOS, and other protocols to the two brains, this can be done by right-clicking "Network Neighbor" → "attribute" → "Local Connection" → "attribute" → "Install" → "protocol. Note: In general, Windows XP automatically configures the IP address, and you do not need to manually configure it.

(3) ADSL Internet connection skill configuration ICS host

Before using the ADSL Internet connection technique, you need to confirm that there is an active Internet connection on the ICS host (that is, the desktop). That is to say, check whether the ICS host can access the Internet normally. Then, you can click "Control Panel"> "network connection"> "network task" and select "Set Home or small office network, the "Network Installation Wizard" Prompt window will pop up to tell you some precautions for the Network Installation Wizard. After you click the "Next" button twice in a row, the window will appear. This step is more important, please be careful.

Now we should select the first item "this computer is directly connected to the Internet. Other computers on my network connect to the Internet through this computer, and then click "Next". In the displayed window, select a correct Internet connection (because the ICS host has two NICs, therefore, there should also be two Internet connections, one connected to the broadband network and the other connected to the laptop). If you cannot tell clearly, you can go to "Control Panel/network connection" to see it.

You can skip the following steps and click "Next" until the window in Figure 7 is displayed. Select "create network and Install Disk ", insert a blank floppy disk as prompted and follow the prompts in the Wizard to create a network to install the disk. By now, all ICS hosts have been configured successfully.

(4) configure the ICS Client

Double-click the "netsetup.exe" file on the 3.5 inch software disk (avel). First, you will see a welcome window, telling you that "before continuing, Windows must install some network support files and may restart the computer. If you are running Windows XP, the Wizard starts immediately. Do you want to continue ?"

Of course, click "Yes (Y. After clicking "Next" twice, select "yes" to use the existing shared connection for Internet access to this computer (recommended )", the selection here is the opposite of Figure 6 on the ICS host. Do you still remember?

Click "Next". The Wizard provides two options: "determine the proper connection on behalf of me" and "let me select the connection to my network ". From my personal experience, I suggest you select the latter. In this way, the degree of freedom is greater. Click "Next" and choose to connect this computer to other network computers according to the actual situation, click "Next" several times according to the default settings to end the network installation wizard.

Now, try it on your laptop. Can I open IE to browse the Web page and run QQ? As long as you can see each other in the original "Network neighbors", ICS should be fine. Note: To ensure the smooth implementation of ICS, two computers are required to use the same version of the operating system, which can reduce a lot of trouble.
