1. Download the
Windows 8.1 upgrade Assistant first from the following address:

2. Install and run the Windows 8.1 upgrade assistant;
3. The Windows 8.1 Upgrade Assistant detects whether your computer meets the installation requirements of Windows 8.1;
4. To select the content to be retained, as required;
5. Follow the prompts to complete the online purchase of Windows 8.1 and download Windows 8.1. When the download is complete, install Windows 8.1, and for most users, we recommend that you choose
Install Now to make the upgrade work smoothly;
6. Follow the prompts to complete the personalized settings;
7. Complete the "
Settings " interface function settings, recommend the use of "
use the Quick settings " option;
8. Complete the account Setup interface.
Note: If you want to continue; with a local account, click New Account, and then on the new Account page, click Continue with my existing account.
9. Complete Windows 8.1 installation;
10. At this point, the upgrade is complete.
