Procedure:
As we all know, IE 11 has changed the UA string, and the new string is:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv: 11.0) like Gecko
Because there is no "MSIE" string and there is a "Gecko" string, many websites think that IE 11 is firefox!
So there is an embarrassing situation!
To solve this problem, you can use either of the following methods:
Method 1: Set the Compatibility View
Click "tools" in the IE menu and select "Compatibility View Settings ". In the displayed dialog box, add the website you need.
Method 2: Change the UA string of Internet Explorer 11
1. Enter gpedit. msc in Win + R to open the group policy editor;
2. Go to Computer Configuration & rarr; management template & rarr; Internet Explorer & rarr; custom user proxy string;
3. Double-click the enabled setting and enter the string "MSIE 8.0 ";
4. Click OK;
5. Restart the browser.
Note:
UA: it is a special string header that allows the server to identify the operating system and version used, CPU type, browser and version, browser rendering engine, browser language, and browser plug-in.
IE11: IE11 will be the next-generation Microsoft browser that comes with Win8.1. Compared with IE10, it will not only significantly improve the speed and performance, but also include tag synchronization options, to allow the browsing group to be reloaded on another Win8.1 device.
