How to delete Windows XP (NTFS partition) Vista system files

Many of my friends have installed Windows Vista. However, after "experiencing" the future operating system, you will surely be worried: How can you uninstall it? When you try to delete folders such as Windows, the system prompts "Cannot delete, access is denied. Why? To reduce the accidental deletion of important system files, Windows Vista,ProgramFolder) and its sub-files (folders) have detailed access permissions. (This is also an important feature of NTFS). Therefore, when we try to delete folders in other systems, access is denied because we do not have the corresponding permissions.

Some experienced friends know that as long as we regain control of this folder, we can delete it. However, when we open the Advanced tab in the properties of the Program Files folder, we find that everything is gray and cannot be set, and there is an unknown user like S-1-5-32-563. Next, I will introduce how to delete this folder.

1. Click "special permissions or Advanced Settings" at the bottom. Click "advanced" next to "advanced" to open the Advanced Security Settings dialog box.

2. Open the "owner" tab. We can see that "the owner of the current project" is the unknown user just mentioned, and this user is the user in Windows Vista. According to NTFS features, if the current computer account obtains the owner, you can change the permissions on this folder. "Change owner to" lists two items: one is administrators, which represents all administrator accounts on the machine and the other is the current Logon account. Here, we select administrators and select the "Replace sub-container and object owner" check box. (Why select it? This involves permission inheritance in NTFS. Normally, when we set the permission for a folder, its sub-folders also have the same permission, but this is only common. If a subfolder does not inherit the permissions of the parent folder, the changes we make to the parent folder, for example, setting the owner does not work for this subfolder. In addition, the Windows Vista system folder contains many such self-folders .) Next, click the "application" button, and the system will automatically apply the settings to the subordinate folder.

3. After the operation is completed, we find that the Security tab in the attribute still cannot be changed. However, after closing the dialog box and re-opening it, we can set the permission. Here, we delete the unknown user, grant full control permissions to the administrators, and then click "Apply. However, this is not enough. As we mentioned above, because its sub-folders do not inherit the permission settings of the parent folder, although we are the owner of these sub-folders, we do not have any permissions. Click "advanced. On the "Permissions" tab, similar to setting the owner, select "The project displayed here that can be applied to sub-objects to replace the permission projects of all objects", and click the "Apply" button. The system will prompt whether to continue. Click "yes" and the system will apply the permission settings to the subfolders. Then, click "OK" to close the dialog box, and the Program Files folder will be deleted.

4. In addition, on the "Permissions" tab of advanced settings, there is a check box: "inherit permission projects that can be applied to sub-objects from the parent item, including those explicitly defined here ". You can select or uncheck this check box to set whether the folder inherits the permissions of the parent folder.

Through the above examples, we all know how to uninstall Windows Vista. in the NTFS partition, when we encounter a file or folder that cannot be deleted, we should follow the following steps if we are sure the file or folder is not used:

1. Determine whether the file (folder) has the control permission;
2. If you cannot set permissions, check whether you have sufficient permissions or are the owner of the file (folder;
3. If both of the preceding two files still cannot be deleted, check if the sub-file (folder) does not have permission settings that inherit the parent folder.
