In Windows, how does one modify the MAC address? The so-called mac address is that a host has an IP address, and each network location has a MAC address dedicated to it. If necessary, you can modify it. How can I modify the MAC address in Windows? 1. in the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318000, 0001, 0002" and other primary keys, because you may have installed more than one network card, so this primary key may have multiple primary keys similar to "0000, 0001, at this time, you can find the primary key that matches the description of the DriverDesc, such as "0001 ". 2. In the primary key mentioned above, add a string named "NetworkAddress". set its value to the MAC address you want and write it continuously, for example, "001010101010 ". 3. then add a primary key value "NetworkAddress" to "Ndiparams" under the primary key, and add a string named "default" under the primary key. The value is written to the original MAC address and must be written continuously, for example, 001010101010 ". In fact, this is only the "Initial Value" in the advanced attribute mentioned later. The actual MAC address used depends on the "NetworkAddress" parameter mentioned in, in the future, the Intermediate Value of the advanced attribute is the value given by "NetworkAddress" instead of the value given by "defaul t. 4. add a string named "ParamDesc" under the primary key of "Networ kAddress". The function is to specify the description of the "NetworkAddress" primary key, the value can be "Network Address" (you can also set it as needed. It is only a description and does not matter. This value will appear as a description when you directly modify the MAC Address in the future ), in this way, after a restart, open the Network neighbor attributes. Double-click the corresponding Nic item and you will find an advanced setting under which the Network Address (ParamDesc you set earlier) option exists, this is the new "NetworkAddress" that you add in the Registry in step 2. You only need to modify the MAC address here. (MAC can also be changed back here) 5. add a string named "Optional" under the primary key of "NetworkAddress". Its value is set to "1". The function is to display the "nonexistent" option on the basis of the previous step! (If you do not understand this step, you can look at the advanced attributes of another network card. It doesn't matter if you don't do this step.) If you want to change this step back, you can simply select this "nonexistent" option! 6. Close the Registry Editor and restart the NIC or system. Your NIC address has been changed. Open the properties of the Network neighbor. Double-click the corresponding Nic item and you will find an advanced setting item for Network Address. It is used to directly modify the MAC address, and can be changed at any time without restarting. Changing the mac address is not a big project, but the steps involved in modifying the registry will be daunting. In fact, experienced users can do it by themselves, but if you are not sure, do not change it.
