As we all know, even if every aspect of a technology is considered to be cohesive with powerful functions, there is a price for it. That is, the richer the features, the more system resources it will consume. After Microsoft binds the browser to the operating system, it becomes one of the most convenient and convenient tools for Win users. However, today's Internet Explorer is poor, thin, and far behind in terms of functionality compared with other popular browsers in the industry. But the so-called concentration is the essence. Compared with other browsers, the current memory occupied by IE is relatively small. In the case of low-configuration computer usage, memory resources are very valuable, and for our web pages, such as the "Network leader, the browser should not only act as a browser but also as an editor. Therefore, it is more important to save memory resources.

When using a browser, we often create a page, and preferably a blank page. In addition to the IE browser, several other popular browsers have this function, however, to create a page in IE, you must first go to the File> New> window, so that the new window is a copy of the original page, that is to say, the window needs to load a page that has been browsed. This process wastes a lot of time and memory resources. Today, we use group policies in Computer Management to solve this problem. That is, you can use the Group Policy to modify the browser tool button to create a blank page with one click.

Principle: When we right-click the IE Toolbar, the shortcut menu is displayed with a "Custom ..." Option ..." Options are used to add or delete tool buttons on the toolbar. In the "Custom toolbar" pop-up window, "available toolbar buttons" are displayed on the left, "Current toolbar buttons" on the right, and "Current toolbar buttons" are displayed on the toolbar of the browser, the ultimate goal is to display a button in the browser toolbar and click it to open a blank page. The current task is to add a button named "new" (meaning creating a blank page) in the "available toolbar button" on the left, you only need to add it to the "current toolbar button" on the right to display this "new" button in the toolbar of the browser. Next we will use the Group Policy to add the "available toolbar button" task.

Preparation: the button is displayed as an icon. Therefore, you must prepare two buttons before adding them (one for normal display and the other for display when the mouse passes through) icons (. ico file). If the requirements are not strict, the two icons can be the same. Save the icon on the desktop.

Steps:

Step 1: Start-> Run. Enter the gpedit. msc command (gpedit. msc control group policy) and click OK. The system opens the Group Policy control window. (1)

Step 2: Go to "Windows Settings" in "user configuration", go to "Internet Explorer e maintenance", select "browser user interface", and three operation options will appear in the right window, right-click the "browser tool Customization" option and select "properties" in the pop-up menu to open the "browser toolbar Customization" window. Step 3: There is a button area in the lower part of the window. There are three buttons "add", "edit", and "delete" on the right of the button area, and click "add, open the "browser toolbar button information" window. (3)

In the "toolbar title" in the window, enter "new" as the text title of the button, and click "toolbar operations" to browse IEXPLORE in the system. location of the EXE executable file. The default path is C: Program FilesInternet ‑eriexplore. EXE, "toolbar color icon" to browse to the desktop, select the prepared icon, "toolbar grayscale icon" can be the same as the above icon. Click OK.

OK. The basic work has been completed. Now open IE, right-click the toolbar and choose custom to open the "Custom toolbar" window, in the "available toolbar buttons" list basket on the left of the window, we can find the button for the custom icon we just added. The display name is "new ". Select the button, add it to the "current toolbar button", move to the top, and select "show text tag" in the "text options" below ", in "icon selection", select "small icon". All is done. Click the "close" button on the right to prompt for saving. Close the original browser and re-open IE. At this time, the "new" button will be displayed at the top of the toolbar (4). Click it to open a new page!

Note: To open a blank page, you must set the browser's homepage to blank, because this button is used to re-mobilize IE, which is the same as double-clicking the IE icon on the desktop.
