In-place upgrade for WSUS 3.0 SP2 on Windows Server R2 ENT to Windows Server R2 S

Goal:

1. Windows Server R2 System Standard version does not support data deduplication, and WSUS disk want to enable Dedup, although the online said about 17% of the deduplication rate, but if the use of space in the 240gb,17% of the weight reduction is still a lot of space.
2. Inplace upgrading WSUS 3.0 SP2 to WSUS 6 is not supported, the official step is to install another WSUS server, then migrate the databases, groups, WSUS downloaded files, change the identifier of WSUS, and then change the client to the WSUS server point.
3. Because previous WSUS had other services, such as the volume active service. The update point for SCCM, and so on. Still prefer to upgrade on the original system, keep the host name and so on unchanged.
4. Before the system is window server R2 ent, need inplace upgrade to Windows Server R2 STD (but the official does not support this upgrade)

Issues that need to be addressed:

1. The version of Windows Server ENT is changed to the STD version, and then in-place upgrade to Windows Server R2 STD
2. You need to uninstall WSUS 3.0 SP2, wait for the first step to finish, enable WSUS on Windows Server R2 to be installed, and import the previous update files, database
3. The Wsus database is placed on a dedicated SQL Server without backup and migration.

Steps:

1. Snapshot the entire virtual machine
2. Uninstall WSUS 3.0 SP2, preserving the database and files. WSUS-related shares, WSUS-related groups, and so on are removed.
3. Change the registry (black Magic, downgrade ENT to STD version, actually did not downgrade, if see Winver, still show as enterprise, but we will cheat Windows upgrade program)
