After the taskbar button is set in win7 to merge, no text is visible, saving space, but the merging effect makes the switch not so smooth. So I like to never merge the buttons.
However, after Windows 7 has never been merged, the text is displayed, which is very space-consuming. If I open more than one item, I have to flip the page. Switching the window is not so smooth.
As a result, I want to hide tags without merging the taskbar buttons and displaying text.
Baidu finds the result and records it here:
Open regedit
Create a minwidth string under HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop \ windowmetrics with the content of 48; log out and log on again (some people on Baidu say that restarting is actually helpful when logging out ), it's so nice to find the button text disappears...
If this value is not set properly, it will be very difficult to see. For example, if the 0 button is automatically stretched, one button occupies all the taskbar, and the two buttons are evenly divided.
If it is set to 16, it seems to be invisible. It is hard to see it anyway. If it is set to 48, it is the best to show the text again. If you haven't tried it, you don't want to try it.

Note: When the content of the taskbar is large, you can open multipleProgramWhen the taskbar program began to become difficult to understand. So I do not recommend this method any more. It would be nice if Microsoft officially provided such a function.
