In Windows XP, a network card can only be bound with one IP address, which makes it inconvenient for me to access the Internet. This is because when I use a notebook in my unit and dormitory, I need to set an IP address, gateway, and DNS respectively, and reset a network connection. I changed it in the dormitory the night before, the next morning, I had to change it again in the unit. It was so miserable every day :(

After thinking about it, I found a way to bind a network card to multiple IP addresses and set multiple network connections under Windows XP. If you are faced with the same problem, try:

"Start" → "set" → "Control Panel", double-click "network and dial-up connections", right-click "Local Connection", and select "properties" to bring up the "Local Connection Properties" panel, select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click "properties" to bring up the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) attributes" panel, click "advanced" below to bring up the "Advanced TCP/IP Settings" panel.
The IP address and subnet mask set for the NIC are listed under the IP address bar. Click the [add] button. In the displayed dialog box, enter a new IP address and add a new gateway. Switch to the NDS tab, the current dns ip address is listed below the DNS server. Click the [add] button and fill in the new dns ip address in the dialog box. The setting is complete.

OK. In this way, in Windows XP, a network card is bound to multiple IP addresses and multiple network connections are set. My notebook does not need to be set in the dormitory of the Organization, you can access the Internet normally. ^_^
