Client software certification is required for Internet access in many school dormitories. Many client software problems have occurred during the update from XP to Vista. Most of them are compatible with Vista, because W7 and Vista do not significantly jump, these Vista-compatible products are generally used in W7, but some settings are required.
Many of these client software for online authentication use Winpcap. The main function of this software is to capture and analyze data packets. If the client authentication software cannot be installed, this is generally caused by this.
Install Winpcap on W7 requires version 4.0 or above, can download from Winpcap official website (http://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm), the latest test version is Winpcap 4.1 beta5, the official version is Winpcap 4.0.2, we only need Winpcap 4.0.2. Do not run the program directly when downloading the program. If you choose to save the program locally, the system prompts that Winpcap does not support the current Windows version. Right-click Winpcap> Properties> compatibility tab and select Windows Vista from the drop-down menu.
Then run and install Winpcap. Install the Internet access authentication client again. If an error occurs in Winpcap during installation, you do not need to worry about it. After installation, run the Internet access authentication client. If not, you can install winpcap4.0.2 again, this is generally enough.
