Installing CentOS 7_linux in VirtualBox

Preparation conditions

It's already installed on your real machine. VirtualBox virtual machines, specific installation methods can refer to the Linux commune articles.

Download the CentOS-7 image

1. Create a virtual computer in a virtual machine

Click the New button to start the new virtual machine computer,

where to fill in the name CentOS-7, type Select Linux, version select Other or Redhat. If the CPU is 64-bit, select the 64-bit version, or select the 32-bit version. The memory size selection does not exceed half the real machine memory size, I allocate 2G size here. Tick the Create virtual hard disk now and click Create.

file location is the location of your virtual machine after the creation,Linux by default in the user's home directory, Windows default on the system disk, if enough space, the default is good. Not enough, click on the folder icon on the right to change location. The file size is the size of the hard disk space allocated to the virtual machine, and here I assign a 30G hard drive to CentOS-7. Virtual hard disk File type Select VDI, which is stored on the physical disk with dynamic allocation and fixed size. The difference is that the dynamic allocation will dynamically allocate the hard disk depending on how much of your hard disk space is used. Fixed size is how many hard disks you allocate, how much space from the hard disk to the virtual machine, the corresponding real hard disk reduction of how much size (some netizens said fixed size, better performance). then click Create.

Now the virtual computer is created, but it can't be started, and there are some simple settings to make.

Click Settings, select the system, in the boot order where the CD-ROM drive, click on the right up ARROW, the optical drive to the first.

then in the Select Store, click No disc, click on the right disc icon and select the one you downloaded earlier CentOS-7 system image is turned on.

in the network where, the network connection selected as NAT, OK, now it's ready to start.

2. Installing the System

Click Start, the mouse punctuation into the inside, select the first (when selected, the font is white), enter the installation. At this point the mouse is locked, if you want to move the mouse, press the right ctrl on the keyboard to release the mouse.

Select language for Chinese, continue.

Click on the software selection, according to their own needs to choose the installation, if not familiar with, do not choose, the default minimum installation, but to install the graphical interface, or choose Gnome or KDE.

Where in the installation location choose the created virtual disk, partition where the partition size is automatically allocated.

In the network and host name to open the network, hostname default is good, you have to change.

Now click to start the installation

set the root user's password here, and create a user. Novice does not recommend the use of the system under the root account, so should create a normal user, here is not demonstrated. All say the root account is the man who wears underwear outside, it has the supreme authority in the system. However, high permissions also mean high risk, careful execution of RM-FR/commands in the root directory

When the installation is complete, click Restart.

Reboot appears this, yes CentOS-7 initialization information, enter 1 return to the car, then enter 2 to return the car, and then enter the Q return.

If you create a normal user, the user name will be listed here, no, click Not listed, enter the root username and password to log in.

Enter the system
