The name of this book contains the word "practice", which I like very much. This book is written around the entire process from the project launch to the final sales of the "Flashlight" app. Although this book covers the development process of this app, due to the limited number of pages, although some basic knowledge will be well described, readers will not understand IOS at all. This book is suitable for advanced reading by beginners. I have been learning objective-C for two weeks and can basically understand the code and instructions in it.
Reading the previous chapters is a simple review process for me. After reading these chapters, I can be unconsciously substituted into the author's role as a developer, as if I was working on a project. This is a good feeling!
The author defines "Flashlight" as a product rather than a project, and naturally introduces some other projects to me. This feature is the root cause I like this book. From this book, I learned that a new product requires a lot of work outside of the program, such as preliminary requirement design, user requirements, interface design, communication, marketing, sales, and launch. These things are lacking in so many technical books. We are not a code farmer who only works without thinking!
As for the development process, the author explains how flashlight is developed step by a large number of diagrams, texts, and codes. Based on these descriptions, I can make the same software myself. This is a practical development. In this book, many apple-related knowledge, such as the uniqueness of the apple UI, the review process and attention of the Apple App. This provides me with valuable experience in submitting an app to the Apple App Store for review after development.
