Managing multiple ESXi hosts through vCenter Server
Through the introduction in the previous three chapters, we already have some knowledge about virtualization. However, it is all basic things that make no sense in practical use. Starting from this chapter, we will officially step into the core of virtualization technology. Over time, we will learn more and more deeply.
Add multiple ESXi instancesHost joining vCenter Server
Step 1. Use the vSphere client to connect to the vCentr server

Open the vSphere client, enter the vcenter server IP address or domain name, enter the user name and password, and click Login to bring up the security warning window.

Click Ignore;
650) this. width = 650; "style =" background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; height: 267px; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; "title =" clip_image006 "border =" 0 "alt =" clip_image006 "src =" http://img1.51cto.com/attachment/201306/6/1041438_1370522758ECG0.jpg "width =" 673 "height =" 256 "/>
Because the vCenter Server is still in evaluation mode, click OK. Click OK to connect to the vcenter server.
Step 2. Create a data center;
Before adding an ESXi host, you need to create a new data center. The virtual data center is a container that contains all the required lists for operating and managing the complete functions and environment of the virtual machine; you can create multiple data centers to organize the environment of each group.

Step 3. Add an ESXi host;
You can add an ESXi host to a data center object, a folder object in the data center, and a cluster object in the data center. If the host contains virtual machines, these virtual machines will be added to the list together with the ESXi host.

Select vcenter_DB data center> entry => Add host to enter the Add host wizard;

Enter the IP address or domain name of the ESXi host, and enter the user name and password. click Next;

If you have a product license key, enter the key. If not, use the evaluation version. Go to the next step;

Click "finish" to complete the host addition process. You can confirm the ESXi addition progress under the task progress.

The method for adding other ESXi hosts to the v Center Server is the same as above. Currently, the ESXi host can only be centrally managed. Advanced features such as HA and dynamic resource management cannot be implemented because I did not create a cluster before joining the ESXi host, the host is not added to the cluster. I plan to introduce the relevant knowledge in detail in this chapter. Each chapter of subsequent documents only describes one knowledge point.
