Manually uninstall Chrome in Windows

If you can't uninstall Chrome from the Windows Control Panel, follow these steps to manually remove it:

These instructions also involve modifying the Windows registry. If you are not accustomed to modifying the registry or are unfamiliar with how to modify the registry, consult a computer technician before you begin. You may also want to consider backing up the registry before you modify it.

1. Ensure that the file extension is displayed. Here's how:
   1. Open Start menu > Control Panel .
   2. Double-click Folder Options .
   3. Click to view .
   4. Make sure that the Hide extensions for known file types check box is unchecked.
2. Right-click the link. Http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/resource/remove.txt
3. Click Save Link as , and save the file name as Remove.reg. (Select all files as the file type.) ）
4. Quit Chrome completely.
5. On the desktop, double-click Remove.reg.
6. In the Configuration window, click Yes .
7. Click confirm .
8. Open Start menu > Run .
9. Depending on your operating system, enter one of the following commands in the text field:
   • Windows Xp:%userprofile%\local Settings\Application Data\google
   • Windows Vista:%localappdata%\google
10. Remove the Chrome folder from the Open directory.

Now, the Chrome browser should have finished uninstalling.

1. Restore default settings reset Internet Explorer settings to default and retest. If This does is not the work move in to Step2.

2. set Internet Explorer as default browser set Internet Explorer as your defaults Browser-restart & RETEST-if no dice then move to step 3.

3. Open a Command prompt as administrador on Windows Vista or windows 7. Then copy and paste the following info line by line-pressing The enter key in your keyboard to INI Tialise each command: Run the following command from copy Paste to the command window
