Microsoft IE7 browser retired early next year. Windows POS embedded version is an exception
As early as 2014, Microsoft announced that it would stop supporting earlier IE browsers from January 12, 2016 and will not provide technical support and security updates. Now, Microsoft will send a reminder on its product support website, encouraging you to Update to the latest version as soon as possible.
According to Microsoft's support instructions, after January 12, 2016, the IE 7 browser will be completely removed from the historical stage, except for the Windows POS embedded version.
IE8 is also limited to Embedded systems, including Windows Embedded Standard 2009 (WES09), Windows Embedded POSReady 20, and Windows Thin PC.For Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2, the version is IE9.The deadline for the former is April 11, 2017. IE10/IE11 never patronize them. Windows Server 2012 Server System and Windows Embedded 8 Standard Embedded system correspond to IE10.
All other newer systems are IE11, including Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows Embedded POSReady 7, and Windows 8.1 Industry Update.
If your system's corresponding IE version is earlier than the preceding description, update it as soon as possible or upgrade it to a new system.
