Modify the hard disk partition capacity in Windows XP

2. All data on the adjusted disk will be lost (you can move it to a non-duplicated disk first ).

Procedure:

1. Close all applicationsProgramOpen Control Panel, open administrative tools, and open computer management ".

2. Select "Storage" on the Left bar and "disk management". The disk partition information of your computer is displayed on the right, and the partition diagram is displayed in the lower right corner, this is what we want to do.

3. Right-click the disk partition to be modified and select "delete logical drive" in the pop-up menu. (A careful friend may have discovered that the drive letter can be modified here, for example, if your computer has three partitions, And the disc is a D disk, you want to change it to a f disk, you can start here), and then select "OK ".

4. Delete the partitions to be modified using the preceding method. The deleted partition capacity is automatically added and displayed as unassigned (marked in black, if the score is left blank, it is displayed in blue ).

5. Re-partition, right-click the unassigned block, that is, the Black Block, select "new logical drive" in the pop-up menu, click "Next", and then click "Next ".

6. Enter the partition capacity value in the partition size column. (The default value is the total size of unpartitioned data. If you only want to divide the data into another partition, do not modify the value. If you want to divide the data into several new partitions, enter the value again, but when dividing the last partition, we need to take the default value. I don't need to say that .) (1g = 1024 MB), click "Next ".

7. Adjust the drive letter. Generally, you do not need to change the drive letter. Click "Next ".

8. Select whether to format the new partition. In general, select format. Here there are three options: I. Select the disk file system. I think it is better to choose FAT32, ii. Don't worry about the second one. III. The third one is to give the disk a name that you like. It's always "Local disk ). Also, it is best to select "execute quick formatting", otherwise the formatting process will be slow. Then "Next" -- "complete ".

9. Repeat steps 5-8 to separate the other partitions to be re-divided. So far, we have adjusted the computer partition without any third-party partition software.
