Because the RedHat Linux 5 system is launched 10 Gb later than Oracle, the official documents only support Oracle 10 Gb installation in RedHat 4.
1. You need to modify the operating system configuration file of RedHat 5 and change RedHat 5 to RedHat 4, so that the check before Oracle installation can be spoofed.
2. It must meet the various Linux installation packages of Oracle 10 Gb in RedHat 4 system. If Oracle checks for warning or errors related to Linux installation packages before installation, the requirements are met, otherwise, the installation may fail. (If the gcc installation package is missing, check whether the package is missing. If the package is half installed, errors will occur frequently and the package is not successfully installed)
3. For databases in Chinese, you can select the simplified GBK character set.
During installation in Linux, if the check before Oracle installation is met, the environment variable configuration and permissions are normal, and the installation is as simple as the installation in windows.
