Build Environment: VM10 + RedHat 5.8 _ x64 + Oracle 11g (grid + db)

Steps:

1. Install VMware software on your computer

2. Create a RedHat5.8 _ x64 System Virtual Machine to complete system installation and configure the basic operating environment of the system.

3. Check whether the environment meets the minimum Oracle Installation Requirements and install software packages and system patches.

4. Create users and groups, set work role separation, modify kernel parameters, and set user resource control

5. Create ASM and install grid

6. Install the Oracle database and create an instance

7. log on to the database using the client and test whether the installation is successful.

1. Create a VM: file --> new virtual machine --> custom (advanced)

Select backward compatible version

Select the I/O controller. We recommend that you keep the default

Select the disk type. The default value is recommended.

Select Disk

Disk size (minimum 50 GB)

Specify disk storage according to your own situation

View your configuration and click custom hardware

Delete unnecessary hardware and add system image files

Close after Configuration

Click Finish after you return to the page.
