"Montage" refers to the film clips in the lens splicing special effects, as the name suggests, "montage illustration" refers to a number of pictures of organic splicing combination, forming illustrations of the style of the picture.
This seemingly complex technology is actually very simple, we today only use Photoshop, in 13 steps to create a beautiful montage illustrator, first to see the effect:
Do you have a feeling? OK, open your Photoshop and come with me.
The first step is to set the canvas
To handle pictures conveniently and accurately, we use 300dpi resolution to create a new A5 landscape (210mm x 148.5mm) Canvas:
The second step is to deal with portrait
We get a clear picture of the musicians from the material website:
Select the Pen tool, set to path, and pull this sax hand out, the hair doesn't have to buckle very thin, because we just need this blunt effect:
Because the final resolution of the map will shrink, so don't worry about the details:
Pay attention to the handling of closed areas:
The third step is to remove the background
"Create a selection" of the closed path, copy the sax hand to the new layer and set up the smart object for later processing.
Step Fourth Process Other portrait
Pull out the other musicians in the picture and set up the smart objects:
Step fourth Adjust portrait position and size
Combine the size and position of these musicians to your desired effect:
Step Fifth Setting the background
We also found a pair of Kraft background pictures from this website:
Handle the size and position of the background to fit the entire picture, and then adjust hue/saturation:
The sixth step to deal with architectural pictures we found such a high clear building picture: This picture is heavier, inconvenient to handle, we use shadow/highlight to adjust the contrast: Step seventh zoom and display picture
Sixth steps to deal with architectural pictures
We found a picture of this high definition building:
This picture is heavier and inconvenient to handle, we use "shadow/highlight" to increase the contrast:
Step seventh zoom and display picture
Eighth steps to deal with trees
We found a pair of trees with HD pictures:
Use the Pen tool to select a rounded tree, and notice where the leaves are sparse to fill with the Clone tool or the copy stamp:
Copy a few trees and put them in good place:
The Nineth step makes the pattern
Select the Pen tool and set it to shape layer to select a suitable foreground color and outline a concise pattern:
Add Shadow Effect:
Step Tenth process Details
Erase some inappropriate details with a rubber tool and a polygon lasso
Set a Gaussian blur of 5 pixels, and then set the layer's blending mode and transparency:
Use the soft side eraser tool to further soften the image
11th Step Unified Picture Effect
Now we have to unify the color styles of musicians, trees and architecture into the background.
Copy the background to the top level.
Select a layer other than the background to add a layer mask for the topmost layer:
Set the top blending mode to soft light, set the mask to color, and set opacity to 20%
These layer flows are then set to 90%:
Step 12th Set the glow
Create a new layer at the top, use a large radius brush, low flow, point out the dim light "
Create a new layer using the same method point a yellow (#ffcc00) light point, set blending mode to "overwrite"
Step 13th Adjust the hue
Adjust the hue of some layers below, using the Curve tool first:
Hue/saturation:
Select a color:
