PHP5.0 installation and configuration in Windows

Php5|window| detailed PHP5 includes some of the following important features:
• Support for the new object model and many new features of the Zend engine.

• Fully rewritten XML support, extending performance around the excellent LIBXML2 library (http://www.xmlsoft.org/).

• New SimpleXML extensions, easy access to PHP objects.

• A new, built-in SOAP extension that supports the exchange of Web services.

• Add MySQL extensions named Mysqli to support MySQL4.1 and later versions of the functionality.

• Bind the SQLite database.

• Greatly improve the design of the flow, including through the flow operation of the underlying socket

Then let's get started.

Take the PHP for Apache as CGI binary way, for example, I like this way. Take the installation directory c:\php as an example;

Remove the original PHP installation directory, extract Php-5.0.0-win32.zip to c:\php

Rename Php.ini-dist to PHP.ini (same as PHP4)

Modifies the Apache httpd.conf file. Delete the original statement with the PHP4 state.

Use the following lines instead:

scriptalias/php/"c:/php/"
AddType application/x-httpd-php. php
Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php-cgi.exe"
Modify the php.ini, remove the Extension=php_mysql.dll front ";" and the default is YES!

The same is true of PHP for Apache as module. Modify the Apache httpd.conf

LoadModule Php5_module C:/php/php5apache.dll
Addmodule mod_php5.c
AddType application/x-httpd-php. php
But this way you have to copy all the DLL files to the Windows system directory, php.ini with Php.exe to the Windows system directory

Both of these methods have been tried. PHP4 Write the program can run!

For apache2 settings:

1, do not addmodule mod_php5.c

2, LoadModule Php5_module C:/php/php5apache2.dll, is Php5apache2.dll

3, need to PHP directory DLL files (the following files do not have to replicate: Php5activescript.dll, Php5apache.dll, Php5apache_hooks.dll, Php5apache2.dll, Php5isapi.dll, Php5nsapi.dll) copied to the directory described above (98, ME is System)
