Play games over the VPN Network (play LAN games both on the Intranet and on the Internet)

You can create a VPN to implement the magic function written on the title ~~

There are many ways to create a VPN. Here I write a few for XP, which is enough for normal use.

1. Use the built-in functions of XP.

1. First establish an incoming connection (equivalent to a server or host)

Network neighbors --- properties --- create a new connection --- Welcome To The New Connection Wizard, click Next ----- select set advanced connection, click Next --- by default: accept incoming connections, click Next ----- next ----- by default: Allow Virtual Private connection, click Next ----- You can add or do not add users allowed to connect, click step ----- next ----- The Connection wizard is being completed, click Finish.

In this way, the server or host is created.

2. Create a client connection.

Network neighbors --- properties --- create a new connection --- Welcome To The New Connection Wizard, click Next ----- select the network to connect to my workplace, click Next ----- select virtual network dedicated connection, click Next ----- enter the company name, such as: wansheng electronics, click Next ----- enter the host name or IP address, the host name is the name of the computer, the IP address may refer to the Internet IP address, click Next ----- The Connection wizard is being completed, and click Finish

In this way, a client connection is established.

3. First, create a user on the input connection. The user name is the computer name of the client.

Input connection ---- properties ----- user, new, enter the user name and password (it is best to create a user with the same user name as the client)

Double-click wansheng electronics ----- enter the User name: administrator or the name of the Local Computer (that is, the new user name) ------ enter the password set by the server ----- the connection is successful.

Now the client is connected to the server.

Note: The IP address must be in the same segment, that is, the first three IP addresses must be the same.

2. Software: SoftEther

Let's talk about the running principle of the software first. For example, the software virtualizes a hub and connects other virtual NICs to the hub to implement a virtual LAN. The virtual hub runs on the server, that is, the machine with an Internet IP address (we usually use this machine as the server and the client ); virtual NICs must be installed on all machines that want to form a LAN (including machines that serve as servers and clients, because we also need to play games online on this machine .)

When installing software, the server must install all three items, while the client only needs to install the virtual Nic.

During configuration, the server uses "SoftEther virtual hub administration" (virtual hub manager) to configure the virtual hub mentioned above (it is enough to create a new virtual hub ). The client (including the Internet machine) uses "SoftEther Connection Manager" to connect to the hub on the server. The "setting Center" is used to enable or disable various services.

After the client connects to the server, the virtual network card on the machine regards it as a real network card in the LAN, you can set the IP address of your network card to a CIDR block.

The following describes the configuration details. Refer to an article about cool people.

3. Practical configuration of SoftEther.

Practice steps:
1. configurations of the home computer (server and Internet)

Install SoftEther on your computer, run the "SoftEther virtual hub administration" program in the Start menu, and select "this computer (localhost)" in the displayed dialog box )", click Connect to enter the hub configuration page.

Set a password for the virtual hub. Next, you will be prompted to set various parameters. First, enter "1" (user administration) and press Enter. Then, enter "2" (create user) and press Enter, set the user name and password here. After confirmation, give the virtual hub a name. Keep the default settings for the remaining settings. Press enter to create the virtual hub (see figure 5 ).

After the virtual hub is created, connect the local machine to the Hub, start SoftEther Connection Manager, and run the "account> New Account" command in sequence, name the connection in the "name" column, and select "direct TCP/IP connection" in the "protocol to connect to the virtual hub" column ", after you click the "Configure" button, a dialog box is displayed. In the "Address" column, enter the local IP address and keep the default "7777" in the "Port" column, after setting, click "OK" (see figure 6 ). The software will pop up a window, in the "user name" and "password"

Enter the username and password you just set for the virtual hub. After the settings are complete, a new virtual hub icon is displayed in the main window of SoftEther. Double-click the icon, after the connection is successful, the system tray area displays a prompt indicating successful connection and the connection speed (see figure 7 ).

Next, we will set the TCP/IP for the virtual NIC (SoftEther Virtual LAN connection). Like the real Nic, we will set its IP address to 192.168.0.1 and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.

2. Company computer configuration (client, intranet)

Install and run SoftEther on the company's computer, run the "account → New Account" command, and select "proxy connection" in the "protocol to connect to the virtual hub" column ", click the "Configure" button. In the displayed window, set the address and port number of the company's proxy server (if the proxy server needs to be verified, enter the user name and password ), fill in the IP address of the home computer in the "Address" column below, keep the default "443" in the "Port" column, and enter the virtual hub user name and password in the authentication dialog box. Click the new connection icon to connect to the virtual hub in the home.
Tips
The address and port number of the proxy server are set by the proxy server in IE, or the administrator is asked.

Configure the TCP/IP information of the virtual network card. Set the IP address to 192.168.0.2 and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.

3. Use QQ and other network services on the computer of the Organization
Using a computer at home as a proxy server, the company's computer can access the Internet through the computer at home, bypassing the company's network restrictions. The procedure is as follows:

Install a proxy server software on your computer. For Windows XP users, you can also use the built-in "Network Installation Wizard ".

Set the gateway address of the virtual network card to 192.168.0.1 on the company computer (see figure 8 ).

After setting, you can directly use QQ or other network services restricted by the company's network, such as online Combat games with any friends.

3. It is said that there is also a software called "vpnshare", but it seems that the software's server side can only be on 2003 and 2000server, while XP is generally used. However, we are just playing games. Professional VPN servers are still well established on these network operating systems.
