Each time you enter the Windows XP table, there will always be a user login screen, asking for a username and password. The advantage of this is that there is security in the environment where multiple people use a computer. However, if the computer is only for you to use, each time you must enter a password, it is annoying. To cancel this logon step, you can do so by modifying the Winlogon project in the registry file. But before you change it, it's important to remind you that the consequence of this is that your password will be stored as plain text in the registry file. In other words, as long as someone can open your registry file, he will know your login password. Once you know these things, if you still want to change them, follow these steps:
Step 1th: Run Registry Editor, expand the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] Branch in turn, and then double-click on the right window DefaultUserName ", then enter your login username. If you do not have a preset user name, you can add this item by clicking edit → new → string value (s) →defaultusername in the menu bar of the Registry Editor, noting that you want to differentiate between uppercase and lowercase letters.
Step 2nd: Also under this branch, double-click "DefaultPassword" in the right window of the Registry Editor, and then enter your password in the blank column. If you do not see the "DefaultPassword" item, follow the steps above to create a new string value.
3rd step: Next in the right window, double-click "AutoAdminLogon" to set the value to "1". If you do not find "AutoAdminLogon", you can follow the steps above to create a new.
Now close the Registry Editor and restart your computer, and you'll find that the annoying logon dialog box is gone.
