1.2. Installation media Checklist
There are at least three major parts of the installation media for SAP products: Master, Kernel, Export, plus Java components and subsequent language (language) packages. In recent years, Master has been placed in SWPM. The MASTER,SWPM (SAP software Provisioning Manager), which was previously available only for individual packages, can install numerous versions of suites and standalone products.
The installation of the SAP system, regardless of the previous master or the current SWPM, runs the installation script in the Java environment. The SWPM itself already contains the Java Runtime Environment, allowing the operating system to install no additional JDK.
swpm
Download the latest SWPM, the 2016 edition can also be installed EHP8 in addition to EHP7 SR2.
Kernel
Optional NetWeaver 7.4 or 7.5 kernel, this installation version is 7.42, the volume label is 51049350_10, suitable for a variety of databases under the Windows operating system.
Export
Divided into two parts three volume label, wherein 51048902_1, 51048902_2 is the first part, including Export_1 to export_6 a total of 6 people folder, 51048902_3 is the second part, including export_7 to Export_11 a total of 5 folders.
Language
Chinese (EN) Language pack is 51048902_8 and is used after this installation is complete.
1.3. Installation parameters
Before installing, you need to set the parameters, mainly including:
Host Name: The computer name of the Windows operating system, which must be set before the database is installed, in the form of letters and numbers, with no spaces and other characters;
System Identification ( SAP System ID ): SAP system identification, consisting of 3 letters or numbers, in the unified management of the server farm, the identity name can not be duplicated;
System Number ( Central Instance number ): consists of two-bit data, which is the offset of each service port, such as the number set to 2, the ABAP connection, the message server port is 3202, 3902, respectively. A system will require two numbers, such as settings 02 and 03.
This example sets the hostname is ECCFP7, identifies FP7, number 00, these three parameters can be used for GUI connection, another need a number 01.
1.4. Environment preparation
The entire SAP system installs, involves the host, the virtual machine, the operating system, the database, installs the medium and so on five big aspects, each preparation and the attention matters see the following statement.
Homestay Host
Hardware configuration: CPU for Intel XEON e3-1230 V2 (1155-pin), 4-Core 8-thread, no-show-required external graphics card, TDP (maximum thermal power) 69W. Motherboard has DDR3 memory slot 4, plug 4 * 8G a total of 32G. HDD 4, of which two West number black disk 640G compose RAID 0 array (self-learning ignore security).
The above except the CPU is the server file, the other is a normal PC file, the maximum can open 7 SAP service virtual machine (7*4G). Standby power of 80 watts, loaded with a maximum of 110 watts.
Because of the need to manage more than 4G of memory, it is necessary to install 64-bit operating system. Network connection switch or router, you can not need to connect to the Internet.
Virtual machines
The virtual software used for this installation is VMware 10, which creates a virtual machine with the following configuration:
§ Allocate Memory 4096M (4G), CPU resources to 2 Core 2 threads,
§ The network chooses the bridge way, obtains the same network segment IP address with the host computer, after the test, if chooses the NAT network method, in some occasions cannot complete the start Instance (launches the instance) operation. In the installation process to ensure the status of network connectivity.
§ Main hard disk 1, SATA format, allocate 1000G (1T) space, using self-growth mode, two partitions are 60G, 940G, the former installed Windows operating system, the latter installation of SAP system;
§ Because the new version of the SAP installation can not identify the network hard disk or even CD-ROM, it is necessary to copy the installation media to the virtual machine, in order to avoid the main hard disk redundant files, and then attach a secondary hard disk (SATA format) dedicated to the installation media, the installation can be removed after the secondary hard drive.
Operating system
The operating system chooses Windows Server SR2, creates a new user admin and gives administrator privileges. Subsequent installations are logged in with admin. The main configurations are:
§ Set host name;
§ Set virtual memory, allocate 16G;
§ enable the. Net Framework 3.5, which is a prerequisite for a successful database installation;
§ Firewall is off.
Because the installer swpm already contains the Java Runtime environment, you do not need to install the JDK. This installation has no special requirements for language set, network card naming.
Database
Database selection SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition SP1 64-bit Simplified Chinese version, installation see the "Installation of the SAP system MSSQL 2012 database", hereinafter referred to as MSSQL, note the following:
§ The host name of the server should be set before the database is installed;
§ Note the selection of character sets;
§ Only the most basic components are installed, without the need for a full installation.
installation media
The downloaded SAP installation media is a compressed file that extracts its classification to a directory, including SWPM, Kernel, export part one, and export to a different directory. Note that all levels of directory names can only be letters, numbers, and underscores (_), and there can be no spaces or other characters.
