For users who use Windows XP systems, Microsoft provides an automatic update service to ensure that your operating system is automatically updated at any time. Windows XP queries the latest update service for Windows Update when the system logs on and connects to the Internet, determines which updates are applicable to the local computer, and then downloads the patches to your local hard disk after you use the operating system to "Automatically update".
To set the Automatic Updates attribute to turn on or off, follow these steps:
1, click--> Start--> Control Panel--> Automatic Update.
Note: Here is another way, you can right-click on "My Computer" select "Properties", you can also set the "Automatic Updates" feature.
2, on the Automatic Updates tab, click the setting you want (Figure 1).
