Scroll left to indicate "backward", and "Forward" to the right"
I am a "heavy user" of Apple MacBook Pro, but due to work relations, I need to switch back and forth between MAC and windows every day for development and testing, chrome maintains the UI and interaction consistency to the maximum extent in different operating systems, and naturally becomes my best choice. But what has been bothering me all the time is: only in Mac OS can the browser be controlled "Forward" and "backward" with a "double-finger swipe" touchpad (or mouse) gesture ". Therefore, in the spirit of "DIY", I spent two days developing this plug-in-scroll2navigate for Windows.
Download and install the plug-in on Chrome Web store and restart the browser. scroll2navigate has started working. Scroll2navigate supports the trackpad or other touchpad, thumb bar (such as ThinkPad series), and mouse (most of the Logitech and Microsoft mouse support) that comes with the MacBook ), when you scroll to the right or left (or gently sweep), the browser will forward or backward, and the corresponding prompt will appear on the page, the effect is exactly the same as in Mac OS.
In addition to the touchpad, you can also use a finger bar or a mouse that supports horizontal scrolling.
This plug-in also supports user-defined settings. You can use pre-made settings such as "trackpad", "trackpoint", and "General", or manually change the settings, in order to meet your best feel.
Scroll2navigate option Interface
On the Options page, you can disable or enable the "scroll to navigate" function at any time. When you want to temporarily use the native left-to-right scrolling function on the page, you only need to press and hold the Alt key (option on Mac) to scroll.
Note: This plug-in cannot work in the virtual machine environment (the test environment in this article is Mac OS X lion + Parallels Desktop 7)
