Secure migration from Exchange 2 K to Exchange2k3

Objective: To migrate from a server using win2kserver + exchange2k and a server with doamin: www.abw.com to a new server using WIN2003 + EXCHANGE2003 and domain www.123.com

1. Create a domain for windows 2003 and install exhange2003 on DC or on a windows 2003 Member Server;
2. Create a two-way trust relationship with the old windows 2000 domain;
3. Install ADMT2.0 on windows 2003 DC
4. Use ADMT2.0 to migrate the windows 2000 domain account to the newly created windows 2003 domain. For details about how to migrate the account, see ADMT2.0. After migrating the user, use exchange task to create a mailbox for the migrated mailbox;
This is the most prone step. when migrating users, you must install The admt pwd tool to connect to the password for migration. At the same time, you must ensure that the Migration users can operate on the directories of the two domains.

5. Use exmerg to export all your 18g email data in exchange2000, and then use exmerge to import the data to the newly created mailbox on exchange2003 respectively.
