Simple usage of the substr function in Oracle, oraclesubstr Function

Substr (string, truncation start position, truncation length) // returns the truncated string (including the start position)

Select substr ('helloworld',) value from dual; -- the returned result is Helselect substr ('helloworld',) value from dual; -- the returned result is El, both 0 and 1 indicate whether to extract select substr ('helloworld', 6, 5) value from dual; -- the returned result is Worldselect substr ('helloworld',-3, 3) value from dual; -- the return result is rld negative (-I), indicating that the starting position of the truncation is the I-th character from the right end of the string to the left.
