Solution for Wamp Server failure to start running on Windows 7 x86 & x64.

After Wamp is installed on Windows 7 x64, the Apache server cannot be started.

I thought it was a problem of compatibility between APACHE and the system before I realized it was a port problem.

After Wamp is started, the icon is yellow.

Solution: Open the Apache configuration file httpd. conf and find this line:

Listen 80

Change to listen 8088.

Save and exit.

Restart Apache and access http: // localhost: 8088/

Servername localhost: 80

Changed to: servername localhost: 8088
