We installed 12.04 today. After the installation is complete, we chose win7 at startup, but we were unable to access it. In addition, we returned to the grub System Selection interface. I tried it several times back and forth, but I had to re-fix the windows mbr, set the ubuntu partition to grub, and record the processing process to prevent the next occurrence of such events. 1: Find a windows system disk and enter repair. In the command line, enter bootrec/fixmbr to repair mbr boot; 2: Find the ubuntu installation disk and enter liveCD; 3: Enter the command: sudo-I: Switch the user over. 4: Enter the command fdisk-l to view the partition of the hard disk. My ubuntu system is installed on sda7, in windows, run mount/mnt/dev/sda7 to mount the sda7 partition to the system. 6: Enter the command: grub-install -- root-directory =/mnt/dev/sda 7: restart! Of course, unexpected problems may occur. For example, if you mention is not bolck device during mounting, my solution is to open the partition by using folders, then enter the mount command in the terminal.
