With the official release of Windows 7, more and more Internet users began to upgrade Windows 7. However, recently, many Internet users reported that there was a genuine verification problem when using the official version of Windows 7: when the serial number is entered, the error code 0XC004F061 is displayed, which leaves many people helpless.
The reason is that the serial number is actually an "upgrade serial number" and can only be used for "upgrade and installation" rather than "net installation ", therefore, most of these problems occur when users upgrade from XP to Windows 7.
I collected the solutions to this problem and shared them:
1. skip this step without entering the serial number during installation. The system will prompt you for a 30-day activation period;
2. After entering the system, Open REGEDIT without any upgrade. EXE modify the registry, and change the mediatetinstall key value in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion tup BE/address from 1 to 0. Save the modification;
3. Search for cmd in the Start Menu, open it as an administrator, enter slmgr/rearm, press enter, and wait for the confirmation box to appear;
4. Restart;
5. re-enter the serial number. A message indicating successful activation is displayed;
Note: This method is only applicable to the serial number and Installer of Windows 7, which may not be applicable to other cracking methods or modified installation programs.
