1. Liquid crystal display principle

Near crystal phase liquid crystal molecule is two-dimensional order, the molecule arranges layer, this kind of liquid crystal viscosity and surface tension is bigger, to the outside electricity, magnetism, temperature change is not sensitive.
Nematic Liquid crystal molecule is a one-dimensional order, it can be up and down, left and right, before and after sliding, molecular arrangement and movement is relatively free, the external magnetic field, temperature, stress are more sensitive, is the main display of the current material.
The cholesterol liquid crystal is very much like a linear liquid crystal, but from the z axis it will be found that his pointing vector with a layer of different like spiral distribution, a certain electric field, magnetic field also make it into nematic liquid crystal.
