In Windows 2008 or Windows 2003, you must use the Backup recovery method to recover a mistakenly deleted ad object. This method is very troublesome. Now, Windows 2008 R2 introduces a new feature: AD recycle Bin. Just like the normal Recycle Bin, this tool retains the deleted object for the time being, and you can retrieve it from the Recycle Bin at any moment.
A few things to note:
1 This is a new feature of Windows 2008 R2
2 This feature is turned off by default, and must be started manually.
3 Enable this operation of the ad Recycle Bin is irreversible (irrersible), that is to say, can not disable after the Enable. Can only be recovered through the restore AD environment
4 to enable, the ad must be upgraded to the 2008 R2 level (The upgrade AD level must use the adprep command under Enterprise Administrator privileges)
5 when enabled, all ad objects that are deleted before they are enabled are converted to recyled objects and cannot be found in the deleted Objects container. The only way to recover these objects is to restore the ad environment to before it is enabled, through the recovery of ad backups.
6 when enabled, the deleted ad object becomes a deleted object, and the Delete object can be recovered. After a period of time, the end of the Delete object's lifecycle is turned into a recycled object, which can no longer be recovered. The final method of collecting through garbage is removed. (as pictured)
To enable the method for ad Recycle Bin, see document HTTP://TECHNET.MICROSOFT.COM/EN-US/LIBRARY/DD392261 (ws.10). aspx
To recover the ad object, you can use the PowerShell command.
Here is a free gadget that provides a simple and Easy-to-use GUI
