The situation is as follows:
An HP laptop with an optical drive broken, the hard drive is SATA and has been fully formatted, and the hard drive mode cannot be set to IDE in BIOS;
A mobile hard disk is installed with an old version of WinPE and does not support SATA hard disks. Therefore, the built-in hard disks of the notebook cannot be found after entering the PE.
The solution is as follows:
1. On another computer, extract the ISO image file of win7 (or other windows systems) to the root directory of the mobile hard disk, and copy an nt6 hdd installer to the mobile hard disk;
2. Connect the mobile hard drive to the HP laptop, start it from the mobile hard drive, enter PE, and run nt6 hdd installer;
3. You will be prompted to select the drive letter and the drive letter in PE when you select the mobile hard disk. Next, you will be prompted to select the installation mode;
4. Select installation mode 2. After nt6 hdd is installed, restart the computer and start from the mobile hard disk;
5. After starting from the mobile hard disk, the system boot interface appears. Select nt6 hdd installer mod 2 to go to the windows Installation program and install the system. The installation process is no different from that of the general CD.
