There are many articles about installing Ubuntu on a hard disk, but they are all manually copied from grub. I think this is misleading, because wubi itself has provided us with a simple method.
This method applies to Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and even Mint.
Download the iso file, decompress the wubi file, and put it in the same directory as the iso file. then install and restart wubi. Because wubi may not set the wait time for the operating system list, the following solutions are provided for XP (for other Windows versions, this should be similar ):
Right-click my computer-> properties-> advanced-> next count third settings-> display the time tick of the operating system list, and write a proper number on the right, I wrote 5 seconds-> All are OK.
Another way is to remove the read-only attribute of boot. ini and modify the time.
After the restart, select Ubuntu, Press ESC, select Demo Mode, open a terminal, press Ctrl + Alt + F1, sudo umount-l/isodevice, and double-click install ubuntu on the desktop ...... During hard disk installation, please note that do not worry during the installation process. The above shows that you are ready to move again to prevent freezing. After the installation is complete, you need to add or delete programs on the control panel of Windows to unmount those files installed by wubi.
