The typesetting skill of the undergraduate thesis of WPS writing

Every year, in addition to the content of the thesis, the format of the thesis should instruct the students to revise it repeatedly. Despite being a computer professional and senior, many people are still unable to master the typography skills of word processing software.

Already has the content of the thesis, using WPS can conveniently realize the graduation thesis typesetting. Of course, you can also choose to write side typesetting. Let's take a look at the main steps below.

1. Set the chapter title. The general structure of graduation thesis is composed of Chinese and English abstract, catalogue and text. The text is divided into several chapters according to the content of the discussion. First, use the WPS with the "title One", "title Two" and "title three" style to set the text at different levels of the title.

If you need style Heading 4, heading 5, 4th, 5, and so on, you don't need to create a new style yourself, you can get it in the "Multilevel numbering" setting later.

2. Set multilevel numbering.

1 Select "Format-bullets and numbering-multilevel number", if you want different levels of number alignment, select the form shown in Figure 2, click "Custom", further set;

2 in the Custom Multilevel Numbered List dialog box, create links to different levels and corresponding styles: for example, Level 1 headings use the "heading one" style. In addition, you can set the number format, location, and so on

3 Special Note If the article needs to use the heading 4 style, and the original default style list does not have a heading 4 style, in Figure 3, the level 4 number corresponds to the heading 4 style. In this way, the heading 4 style appears in the style list of the body. The style of "Heading 5" can also be obtained in the same way;

3. Use section breaks to set a separate header and footer for each section. A section break plays a role in separating its previous text formatting, and if a section break is deleted, the preceding text is merged into a later section and the latter is formatted. Move the cursor to the top of each chapter title, and select Insert-separator-Next-section break to insert a section break.

4. Set header and Footer 4.1. Set each chapter header to this chapter Heading 1 because the previous step has set each chapter to a section, you should cancel the previous section button on the Header and Footer toolbar if you want each chapter header to be different for each section.

2 Enter the title of this chapter in the header of each chapter.

4.2. Insert Page number 1 in the footer of each chapter for the first page of the body number from "1" increment, first select the Header and Footer toolbar, "set page number Format" button, the page number format to set;

2 to move the cursor to the first chapter of the first page footer, in the "Page number" dialog box, click "Advanced", page numbering to choose "Start Page" from "1" start, as shown in Figure 7;
