One of the features that Windows7 initially demonstrated is touch-control. However, this statement disappeared after the release of the Windows Beta and Release candidate. But a news announcement from Microsoft on May 27 has reopened this feature. A post posted by Microsoft Windows Team Blog discloses Windows7 's Touchpack (Touch pack). This package brings many applications that are suitable for touch, including:
1. Microsoft Surface Globe:
The first application in these applications is called Microsoft Surfaceglobe (the Earth's surface). This is an Earth that uses the multi-touch function of the Virtual Earth 3D engine to display a rotating 3D image of the Earth. You can visit various places and regions, get information about the area, or use the bookmark function to mark your favorite information. In addition, some cities have even been built using 3D technology, providing a very realistic and detailed experience.
2. Microsoft Surface Collage:
The Microsoft Surfacecollage tool allows rows to select many photos and then move and scale according to your preferences. Once you get an arrangement you like, you can choose to store it as an image and then take this image as a desktop wallpaper.
3. Microsoft Surface Lagoon:
Microsoft Surfacelagoon is an app that looks very interesting. It's actually a screen saver for your computer, and you can communicate with this program using multi-touch technology. This screensaver shows an undersea landscape with sand, water and fish. By interacting with them, you can gather the fish around you and use your fingers to run through the virtual water.
4. Microsoft Blackboard:
Microsoft Blackboard (blackboard) is an interesting puzzle game that uses simulated physics and multi-touch techniques to solve problems. You can use gestures to create a seesaw, fan, and device that can resize and export mobile. Everything is assembled on a virtual blackboard. The goal of this game is to balloon and ball onto a light bulb.
5. Microsoft Rebound:
Microsoft rebound is a game that can play with friends, similar to the aerial hockey game. The goal of this game is to push a ball with your finger to destroy your opponent's ball.
6. Microsoft Garden Pond:
Microsoft Gardenpond is another game, but the game is more relaxed. The game is to guide some origami articles safely through a pond or with a finger to guide them through a predetermined target. To move these origami items, you have to interact with water to produce some ripple.
You obviously need to use these apps to Windows7 support multi-touch technology. This package will be provided to the PC vendor and the vendor chooses which application (or not all) to install. This means that these applications will be available together when the Windows7 is launched.
