Time management training notes

Origin Last month, I attended the time management training course organized by the company. After three hours of study, I learned a lot. Later, it was applied to daily work, which also produced better results. Work is easier to complete, and work is more easily controlled by yourself. It is especially important that you feel that your life is more secure. I will share with you the notes for this training. After some time of practice, I will also add some of my experiences and experiences to this note. You are welcome to discuss how to use the time effectively. Time management In fact, the so-called time management is: self-management and event management. It can also be called self-discipline and other laws. When we first learned English in Junior High School, the amount of words we learned in the whole three years was also very small. Later, when we went to high school, the amount of words increased significantly, the number of new words in a lesson is equivalent to the number of units in junior high school. When we arrive at a university, the number of words is an order of magnitude. Why is there such a step-by-step process? The reason is that as we get older, our self-management capabilities are enhanced, so that we can concentrate for a longer time, so that we can accept more words in a shorter time. From this case, we can see that a self-managed person is more efficient in his work. Here is a new word, efficiency. Quick actions are called efficiency, and quick actions are called efficiency. As we all know, not everyone remembers more English words as they grow older. However, the main reason is not the intelligence factor, but the result of poor self-management, that is, lax self-discipline. If self-management fails to meet the requirements, it will be managed by events. For example, if a teacher cannot remember many words, the teacher may punish him for monitoring him to listen to the words he reads outside the classroom separately on the morning reading. If the teacher can keep monitoring like this, after a while, the score of this poor student will definitely increase, and the amount of words in memory will also increase. This is his law. From the above example, we can see that it is very painful to be arbitrary. I have always had poor English, and I have never been impressed by the teacher's "He Ru" in junior high school and senior high school. I think it is hard to say that this does not leave a "Juvenile shadow" for me ". Therefore, we should try to avoid arbitrary attacks. Time management is to replace him with self-discipline. By self-controlling events, we can improve productivity and gain peace of mind. This is very important, especially the latter. A calm heart can improve our practice. Where is my time management problem? Many people are very busy, but few can tell why they are busy and have no time. And when you ask what they are busy with, it's hard to say that they can't remember what they are doing for a lot of time. The trainer provides a good way: to make your own time log. The time from waking up every day to going to bed is measured in 30 minutes and recorded in each time unit. Whether you are writing an email or taking the time to find the memo paper you wrote the day before yesterday. The results are scary. Personally, I find that the time spent on work is surprisingly small. It takes a lot of time to reply to emails, read books, read others' blogs, read news, and talk with colleagues. With the time log, everyone can find out where they are wasting their time. If you feel that you are very busy every day, but think about your day before going to bed, and you feel infinitely empty, Please create your time log to find out the time-wasting events. Are there many things? Through the time log, we can find that our daily work and life are just a few things. In fact, every day is almost the same. How can we make ourselves so busy? It is recommended that instructors write their regular work and life events to a list, identify their priorities, and sort their priorities by root priorities. In the future, we will do things based on priorities. If the priority is high, do it first; if the priority is low, do it later. For example Program Personnel, the module with the highest priority after work is completed first, then check the mail, reply to questions from colleagues, etc. In fact, there is no need to do everything according to the priority. The reason is very simple. Human Attention is limited. After a period of work, attention needs to be recovered in a timely manner. Then, if we write Code After that, I may feel a little tired and need to take a break. But our code is not completed at this time. Should we force the effort to write code? This is not the case. You can write a document or share your ideas about your work with your colleagues. Experience helps Time Management To work effectively, we need to absorb and sum up experience. Experience may come from others or yourself. Because previous experiences or things we have done can greatly reduce our time for doing things and help us organize our global work more effectively. Developing your own horizons and expanding your interests can effectively gain others' experiences. What about your own experience? I hear and I forget; I see and I remember; I do and I understand. -- Confucius It can be seen that to gain your own experience, you only need to do it and practice it. Xunzi also has a similar saying: it is easy to hear, not to know, not to know. It's time to learn. Oh, Xunzi's words are a bit confusing. Lu fangweng makes it concise: on paper, the end is shallow, and the end is unknown. Why is there no time? This is a good answer: I, No plan II, Delay III, Did not reject others IV, Non-fast customers (events) V, Take care of everything Solution I, Plan first. Since no plan is the primary cause of failure to effectively manage the time, we should take the right remedy and develop a complete plan. We should follow the PDCA principles (Plan, do, check, adjustment), that is, we should first make a good plan, then do things, then detect, and then adjust according to the problem. In the plan, priorities should also be listed, and important and urgent tasks should be given priority to lean production. According to the 80/20 rule, we usually only need to spend 20% of our effort to meet 80% of our needs. II, You can also make full use of good plans to solve problems with latency. Because of the delay, deadline is made in the plan. Combine time logs to compress the time spent on other events. Ensure that the task is completed as planned. III, Rejection is actually a simple task. You only need to say no. But as Lin Yutang said in his book "my country and my people", Chinese people were born with three goddesses-face feelings, fate, and grace. Face is face, and face is the most important thing for Chinese people. My colleagues asked me for help and the leaders asked me to complete a task. It was a very face-to-face task, so I could not refuse it. In fact, this is not the case. Not only can requests from colleagues, classmates, and friends be rejected directly, but even their own leaders or superiors can be rejected directly. As long as you think your worksheet is no longer able to arrange their tasks. But how to effectively refuse is a very skillful thing. A single speaker can write thousands of words on this topic. So I will not write it here. If you go to "Baidu, you will know ". Here, I would like to remind you that if a friend works in a multinational company or has cooperation with a foreigner, you should pay attention to the fact that the Chinese "do not promise ", westerners generally believe that "if you don't say no, You can promise ". IV, For non-fast customers (incidents), our solutions can be rejected if they are rejected. If they are not, they can be resolved as soon as possible. For example, old people who haven't seen each other call during their work hours can say a few more words when they are not busy. When they are busy, they can say that they are busy working hours and can't say it after work, or I will call you back? If you are looking for a customer (friend), you can use the standing guest mode to discuss the topic, often able to solve the problem in a very short time ). V, The most common problem for SMEs and middle-level cadres is that they like big outsourcing. They will not be afraid that their subordinates will not be able to do these things well, or they will be afraid that they will take their seats if they have done these things well. In fact, with this alone, they will not be able to do anything big. In the Warring States Period, Han Feizi said: the lower Jun, the middle Jun, the power of the people; the upper Jun, the wisdom of the people. It can be seen that the better the management personnel, the more they can delegate power. If you think you have too little time, it is time to consider decentralization. If the authority is afraid that its subordinates will not be able to complete the task, they should be able to train their abilities and teach them how to handle the affairs at the same time. Guiding theory There is a theory named Dai Ming's expectation index that is suitable for our time-based guidelines. Simply put, everything can be divided into four categories: Important and Urgent, important but not urgent, unimportant but urgent. According to Dr. Dai Ming's survey, the ratio of time spent by ordinary people on these four types of things is: 25% ~ 30%, 15%, 50% ~ 60% and 2% ~ 3%. A little weird, right? We spent most of our time on unimportant but urgent things. Our thinking should be the most important and urgent thing, which consumes the most time. In fact, this is not the case. Important and Urgent things are usually solved by a kill-cut, which does not take much time. On the contrary, we spend a lot of time answering calls, replying to colleagues' email/Popo information, searching for materials (files) and other unimportant but urgent matters. In view of this situation, Dai Ming proposed the so-called Dai Ming expectation index, that is, for the above four types of things, the time is allocated according to the following proportion: 20% ~ 25%, 65% ~ 80%, 15%, and <1%. It's also a little weird. Why does it take more than 2/3 of the time for important but not urgent tasks? The reason is that important, but not urgent, will change as important and urgent as time passes. It is undoubtedly the best to eliminate the problem in the bud. For example, learning design patterns is an important but urgent task. If we don't spend time learning, if one day's work changes, when a project group with a high degree of application design mode is called, learning the design mode becomes an important and urgent task. At this time, it will certainly be very busy to do important and urgent things. In fact, this so-called Dai Ming expectation index is no big deal. Our ancestors have already created two idioms for us, namely, "Quick Start" and "Preparations.
