Problem:
Windows Live writer (wlw) converts External tables (such as Word) copied and pasted into text in normal and Web modes. How can this problem be solved?
Solution:
I. Use "selective pasting"
Take the table in the copy paste (figure 1) word as an example ,:
Figure 1
1.1 If you directly copy the paste in normal and Web modes, the effect is:
Www. cnctechnet
Com
WWW
Cnctechnet.com
The main reason for the above effect is that wlw uses the "simplified html" mode by default, which deletes redundant formats, such as the dedicated MS Office format, CSS style, and table. Retain the relative title size and basic format, and keep it consistent with the log style.
1.2 then we only need to find the paste method that retains all formats. The specific steps are as follows:
When you paste a post, right-click it, select "selective paste" (2), and select "retain format" (3) in the pop-up dialog box. The effect is shown in table 1.

Note:
All the formats of the tables are retained after the wlw is pasted.
Ii. Use "html"CodePaste the table code in Mode
Note: This method is only applicable when the table HTML code is obtained and cannot be applied in word.
1. Switch to HTML mode: Click [view]-[HTML code]
2. Obtain the table HTML code:
2.1 click [view] in Firefox-[PageSource code]
2.2 find the HTML code of the corresponding table, similar to <Table…> .... </Table>: copy the code and paste it to wlw. The result is shown in Table 1:
We recommend a Firefox extension:
In Firefox, there is an extended copy menu 1.4 that can easily copy webpages into HTML or text.
This extension provides the option to copy the selected area as plain text or HTML.
The "copy as HTML" and "copy as plain text" options are added to the right-click menu. If you want to copy text or HTML to a file, email, or otherProgram.
Step: Right-click the file to be copied and choose Copy as HTML.
