After successfully expanding the wireless signal (such as zhangsan) of the primary router using the wireless extender, the wireless signal of the extender cannot be found on the mobile phone or notebook. The possible reasons are as follows:
The default wireless signal of the wireless extender isTP-LINK_RE_XXXX(X indicates the last four digits of the MAC address). This signal is only the signal connecting to the expansion device when it is initially set.
After the expansion operation is set successfully, the default signal of the expansion device disappears. At this time, the signal sent is the same as that of the main router.
We can see on the management interface that the network name becomes the same as that of the primary router after expansion:
Of course, some extenders can modify the name of the extended signal. If you change the signal of the extender to different from that of the primary router, you can search for the modified signal on your mobile phone or laptop. As shown in the following figure:
If you cannot find the modified signal, you can reset the extensioner and reset it.
