Describe
Python split () slices a string by specifying a delimiter, separating the NUM substring only if the parameter num has the specified value


Grammar
Split () method syntax:


Str.split (str= "", Num=string.count (str)).
Parameters
STR-delimiter, default to space.
Num-the number of splits.
return value
Returns a list of separated strings.


Instance
The following example shows how the split () function is used:


#!/usr/bin/python


str = "Line1-abcdef \nline2-abc \NLINE4-ABCD";
Print Str.split ();
Print Str.split (', 1);
The results of the above example output are as follows:


[' Line1-abcdef ', ' line2-abc ', ' LINE4-ABCD ']
[' Line1-abcdef ', ' \nline2-abc \NLINE4-ABCD ']
