In Windows 8, 21 folders are used by default, which can be viewed in the C: \ Program Files \ WindowsApps folder (this folder requires access permissions ). We need to move this folder. In Windows 8, apps in the App Store are downloaded and installed to this folder by default.
1. We recommend that you reinstall windows 8 so that the system is completely pure. To modify the installation location, you must first copy Windows apps on drive C to drive D under PE (you can modify the installation drive letter after applying it ). Enter the C: \ Program Files \ WindowsApps folder under PE and package it into a wim image:
2. Wait several minutes to complete the packaging;
3. Open WimTools, select the source address on the left, put the modified address on the right, and click attach;
4. In this way, the application is transferred to the D disk, and the number is still 21;
5. Exit PE, go to Windows 8, click Win + R, and enter regedit to bring up the registry. (
Tip: It is risky to modify the registry. Back up data in advance and operate it with caution under the guidance of a professional.. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--SOFTWARE -- Microsoft -- Windows -- CurrentVersion -- Appx, right-click Appx to select the permission. 7. In the pop-up user selection or group window, select "advanced" in the lower left corner ";
8. Click "search now" on the right side, find your login name in the user list, and select "OK;
9. The Appx permission is fully allowed;
10. Click OK to close the window, return to the registry, find the PackageRoot on the right, right-click and modify it, and change it to the path of Windows app on drive D;
11. Now, the entire modification is complete. The folder on drive C can also be deleted (less than 100 MB, it is recommended that the space be not special or retained ). Go to the Win8 store to download several applications and try to see if they have been modified successfully.
