UEFI + GPT install WIN7, WIN8/WIN10 install WIN7 dual system, uefiwin7
I. BIOS Modification
First, change the bios: We know that although uefi + gpt boot takes a long time, Windows 7 cannot fully support it, therefore, various errors may occur when Windows 7 is installed using uefi + gpt! Therefore, when installing Windows 7, we cannot set the BIOS to "UEFI only" and must disable "Secure Boot ". Next we will talk about the settings, mainly including the following settings:
Set: efi bios: BootMode [UEFI/Legacy] and UEFI;
Launch CSM [Enabled/Disabled] and set it to Disabled (set it to Enabled when I install it, and there is no exception during installation. See the description of CSM below );
LaunchCSM [UEFI/Legacy], set to UEFI;
Set compatibility mode: CSM Support [Yes/No], set to Yes;
OSOptimized Defaults [Enabled/Disabled], set to Disabled;
OSOptimized Defaults [Win8 64bit/Others], set to Others;
Disable Secure Boot: Set Secure Boot [Enabled/Disabled] to Disabled. (This step is particularly important !)
CSM full name Compatibility Support Module is the Compatibility Support Module. It is a special Module of UEFI and provides Compatibility Support for systems that do not Support UEFI. Currently, Windows 8 fully supports UEFI, while Windows 7 64-bit does not fully support UEFI. Therefore, you must enable CSM for Windows 7 installation in uefi bios. Most computers can enable it automatically or manually, and a few computers can disable CSM forcibly.
Ii. Start PE to install WIM format files
If you only have one wim file, you can install the system as follows.
Wim files are file-based Windows images. wim files store one or more copies of Windows systems. Similar to GHO backup files, the main file of Microsoft ISO images is install. wim, if only install. wim can also install the system. How can I install wim files? The following system city editor teaches you how to install it.
Installation steps:Tutorial on installing the original win7 image for pe
1) Installation preparation
1. install. wim format System File
2. Steps for creating a USB flash drive PE boot disk for a PE system containing WinNTSetup
3. Where is the windows Image install. wim?
4. Activation tool: Pony win7 activation Tool
2) install. wim System Installation Steps
1. Insert the USB flash drive PE boot disk, press the boot shortcut key F12, select the USB flash drive and press Enter;
2. Go to the USB flash drive installation page and select 1 or 2 to enter the PE system;
3. In Professor U's PE system, run the "Windows Installer", that is, WinNTSetup;
4. Select install. where the wim file is located, select the location of the boot disk and the location of the disk to be installed, for example, select disk C (I actually select the ESP partition as the boot partition, which is inconsistent with this ), note that due to the PE drive letter display problem, the system disk does not necessarily display the drive C, and then click Start installation;
5. If installation fails, click the "F" button on the left of the "select" button to format the drive C.

Iii. Dual System considerations
1. Some computers have multiple boot partitions (FAT32/FAT16) on the disk, for example:
In this case, the boot disk selected in step 2 must be in the same partition as the boot partition of WIN10 system (the ESP partition of my computer is used as the WIN10 boot disk, so select the ESP partition in step 2 );
In the BOIS boot item, you must set this partition as the first boot item (the name of the multiple boot partitions on the Asus motherboard is the same and must correspond to the boot partition in order ), otherwise, you cannot enter the newly installed system after the system is restarted.
