Uncover the mystery of Windows Mail delete server mail

Many netizens complain that Windows Mail does not retain the original message on the server, as Foxmail did after receiving mail. In fact, it is not that Windows Mail does not save the original message on the server because of the default settings for Windows Mail. This default setting is not prompted during the creation of the user (Foxmail prompts you to keep the original message on the server during the creation of the user) and can only be achieved by modifying the Windows Mail property after setting.

Run Windows Mail, click "Tools" → "account" in the program's main interface, select your mail server in the pop-up dialog box, and click the "Properties" button on the right (Figure 1).

The system then pops up the Mail Account Properties dialog box and switches to the Advanced tab in the dialog box, where you can check "leave a copy of the message on the server" at the bottom (Figure 2).

Small tip:

If you do not set the number of days reserved, the program defaults to the message being permanently stored on the server.

When you have finished setting up, click OK to make the settings take effect, and you will never have to worry that Windows Mail will remove the original from the server after receiving the message.
