Use CCProxy to solve the problem that the server cannot access the Internet

Recently, due to the adjustment of the network structure of the municipal education man, the IP address of the computer in our school has been re-divided. After that, a problem occurs: the host machine and students can access the Internet normally. The Gateway server can only log on to the website of the Municipal Education Commission and other schools in the Metropolitan Area Network, but cannot access the Internet. Ask the Municipal Network Center and find that all schools have this problem temporarily. The reason is that the IP address of the outer network card of the gateway server of each school is not properly routed to the upper-level network center (Yantai education man ), in addition, this situation lasts for many days.

This is not a problem. The Gateway server cannot access the Internet, but it has no impact on the computer teaching in the school. Unfortunately, I just reinstalled the gateway server, although the Windows 2000 SP4 patch is installed, the system patch cannot be updated online, and the rising virus database cannot be upgraded. This is undoubtedly very dangerous for a server. It is not difficult to solve the problem of upgrading the server system. One solution is to make the server a temporary client and connect another computer to a NIC as a temporary gateway server. Then, the server can be upgraded online; another method is to download patches and virus libraries from other computers that can access the Internet, and then copy them to the server for local upgrade. These two methods are both difficult to operate. Is there any better way?

At this time, I think that since other computers can access the Internet, can I use one of the hosts as a proxy server to allow the gateway server to access the Internet through it? It seems that this method does not work at first glance. Other computers on the campus network are connected to the Internet through the gateway server. If you change the network settings of the gateway server, I am afraid all the computers will not be able to access the Internet. Next, if you only change the Internet IP settings of the gateway server, the network settings will not change. This may work.

Therefore, the author downloads and installs the CCProxy agent software on a teacher's machine, and does not make any settings after it is started. Go to the gateway server, open "Control Panel> Internet", click the "connection" tab, select "LAN Settings", and check before "use proxy server for LAN, enter the IP address of the host machine 10.53.86.200, enter "808" for the port (CCProxy default proxy port), and click [OK] (figure 2 ). In this way, the Internet Explorer settings of the gateway server are modified, and then click "Start> Windows Update" to start the upgrade. OK! Smoothly connected to the Microsoft website and completed the system upgrade.

If the patch for Windows 2000 is installed, rising will be able to upgrade. In "Options> network settings", click Set in Figure 3, click [OK], and then click [upgrade.

I am deeply touched by the process of solving the problem. The first two methods are the easiest to think about, but they are not the best. The third method will be disturbed by People's mindset, in this case, we usually go to the external (man or Internet) to find the proxy server, but ignore the possibility of finding the Proxy from the inside. In the face of various complex situations that may occur in campus network management, we should broaden our thinking and find the optimal solution from multiple ways to solve the problem.
