Ibm®rational®quality Manager is a collaborative, web-based tool that provides complex test planning and test evaluation management methodologies throughout the lifecycle of software development. It is built on the basis of the Jazz™ platform and is designed for use by various scale test teams. It provides a wide variety of user roles, such as generating administrators, test architects, test managers, testers, and lab administrators, as well as various roles outside the testing agency. This article introduces you to how to create a new project in Rational Quality Manager and to examine a series of basic things you can do in your project.
In order to perform this test, you will test the bookpool.com. It is wise to use it as an example because it is intuitive (many users order something online) and has a lot of skills and content. Before you start testing, you need to create a new user.
Create a new user
Follow these steps to create a new user:
Log on as the default administrator (username: admin; password: admin).
If this is the first time you start Rational Quality Manager on a server, it will take a while to start. When the mount is complete on the dashboard, view the Admin menu. From the menu, select the Jazz User administration (as shown in Figure 1).
